We had a run of New Holland hub requests recently, starting with a Hub for a TS90, and then a TM135 straight after!
Interestingly, the same hub is used on both tractor models.
On a more cast iron level, the housings had cracked in similar ways and produced a slow leak. Clearly a worrisome issue for any tractor owner.
Had the problem been left as-is, the hub would have run without oil and quickly crunched up. The telltale sign would have been loss of drive, eventually locking up the axle and stopping the tractor in its tracks.
Go check your oil, people!
With nothing available second-hand around NZ, flying them in from Europe was the most economical option.
