Grooves, leaks, and a whole lot of elbow grease – this fix needed the full works!
When you start losing pressure and drive, it’s never a great sign – especially if you’re running a SAME Explorer³ 100.
That’s exactly what happened to a customer up North recently, and the issue was worn-out clutch housing that had seen better days.
What went wrong?
In this case, the sealing rings had worn deep grooves into the clutch housing, shown on the RH picture above. That kind of wear causes oil to leak out and pressure to drop – not ideal for a machine that needs to keep up with serious farm work.
Unfortunately, there’s no magic patch-up fix for this kind of issue. The only way to get this sorted? A new replacement of the clutch housing.
Lucky for them, they have ProPart on speed dial.Â
